The Separett Tiny 1271 is a compact, waterless composting toilet made for vans, RVs, boats, cabins and tiny homes. It separates urine from solids right away, which dramatically reduces odours, and drains urine through a tube to an external tank or greywater system, so there is no urine container to empty.
Key Features
- Urine Tube: Urine drains to an external tank or greywater system
- Solids Container: 14.5 L container with lid
- Odour Control: Quiet 12 V fan runs continuously, about 0.04 kWh per day
- Flexible Power: 12 V or mains power with the included 110–240 V adapter
- Compact: 497 × 398 × 470 mm, only 8.5 kg
- Any Climate: Works in cold or warm spaces
The urine tube needs a constant downward slope to the external tank. A flexible ventilation hose, sold separately, lets the toilet slide in and out of a cabinet. The full specifications and the installation manual are in the tabs below.
Odour-free comfort with nothing to empty but the solids. We install composting toilets at our van conversion shop in Gatineau, near Ottawa.

🔧 Ventilation
Vent through the wall, floor or roof. Maximum length: 5 m of Ø 50 mm rigid pipe or 3 m of flexible hose, with up to two 90° elbows for rigid pipe. A flexible hose lets the toilet slide in and out of a cabinet.
